Important announcement

While the CCBC Testing Center is closed due to the COVID-19 virus, unofficial transcripts will be used to determine English/Reading placement. A student must have an unweighted 3.00 GPA or higher, and final grade of B or higher in a current English course to be considered for college level coursework.

Gifted and Talented Students

A student enrolled in 8th or 9th grade may be considered for admission to CCBC if one of the following criteria is met and documented:
  • Enrolled in a recognized Gifted and Talented program
  • Documented academic ability or documented ability in the creative, performing or visual arts.
A student must take the CCBC placement test and place in college level Reading and Sentence Skills, or provide SAT scores of 480 or better in the Evidence Based Reading and Writing, or ACT score of 21 or higher in (either) English or Reading

Step 1: Schedule an Interview
A student is required to have an interview with an Assistant Director of Admissions. A parent or guardian must be present for the interview. Call the Admissions Office to schedule an interview before the start of classes.
