The Geminid Meteors

December is the month when the Geminid meteor shower occurs, one of the most prolific in terms of numbers seen. They are named because they seem to appear to come from the constellation Gemini (the Twins).

Learn why they are mistakenly called “shooting stars,” about their comet “cousins,” some other lesser known objects, and how to look for them. This show is suitable for adults and children over the age of 8.
