Veterinary TechnologyThe Veterinary Technology program allows students to become a valuable part of the veterinary health care team.
Students will learn to perform a variety of duties associated with the animal care field, such as clinical laboratory procedures, assisting in the operating room, establishing patient imaging protocols, administering medications, educating the owner to better understand their pets problem and the steps to a successful conclusion and supervising total patient care.

The Veterinary Technology program is accredited by the American Veterinary Medical Association’s Committee on Veterinary Technician Education and Activities.
Veterinary Technician National Examination
The Veterinary Technology Program is accredited by the American Veterinary Medical Association's Committee on Veterinary Technician Education and Activities (AVMA/CVTEA). Students who successfully complete the program are eligible to take the Veterinary Technician National Examination (VTNE). The VTNE validates competency for practice.

The VTNE and Maryland State Board Requirements must be completed prior to submitting an application request to become a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT). The designation of RVT is awarded by the Maryland State Board of Veterinary Medical Examiners.
