While the CCBC Testing Center is closed due to the COVID-19 virus, unofficial transcripts will be used to determine English/Reading placement. A student must have an unweighted 3.00 GPA or higher, and final grade of B or higher in a current English course to be considered for college level coursework.Gifted and Talented Students
A student enrolled in 8th or 9th grade may be considered for admission to CCBC if one of the following criteria is met and documented:- Enrolled in a recognized Gifted and Talented program
- Documented academic ability or documented ability in the creative, performing or visual arts.
Step 1: Schedule an Interview
A student is required to have an interview with an Assistant Director of Admissions. A parent or guardian must be present for the interview. Call the Admissions Office to schedule an interview before the start of classes.
Step 2: Required Documents
A student is required to bring the following documents to the interview:
- Application for Admission
- Official secondary school transcript
- SAT or ACT scores (if available)
- CCBC Gifted and Talented Recommendation form
- Photo ID
