Database Certificate, Credit Certificate
Students will create relational databases and explore other database design and development topics.
Program objectives
The Database Certificate will prepare students for employment as entry-level database programmers and designers or provide current professionals with essential database programming and design skills.
Upon graduating with a Database Certificate, students will be able to:
- demonstrate the following core competencies: communication global perspective/social responsibility, independent learning/personal management, and problem solving skills;
- develop databases with Oracle and other current relational database software and technologies;
- use DBMS and Data Manipulation Language to maintain data and produce reports; and
- assist in developing and implementing database security, user permissions, backup and recovery.
