Provides an understanding of the symbolic and ritualistic aspects of the funeral, which have a significant impact on the emotional experience of the bereaved; covers psychological concepts in the areas of grief, bereavement and mourning, ethics, and communication skills within the funeral service profession. Course offered once a year (fall or spring).
- Prerequisite(s) : MORS 101, MORS 131, and MORS 141 with a grade of "C" or better
