Adjustments to learning environments

CCBC reserves the right to provide instruction and related academic activities through alternative methods of delivery, including remote delivery. CCBC also reserves the right to change the method of delivery before or during an academic term in the event of a health or safety emergency or other circumstance when it deems such a change as necessary or in the best interests of the CCBC community.

We are committed to making informed decisions regarding the Fall 2020 semester during these uncertain times and are considering three methods of delivery as we monitor COVID-19 developments:
  1. If it is endorsed by all federal, state and local health officials and it is achievable, CCBC will provide on-campus learning.
  2. If it is permissible and consistent with prevailing health and other guidance, CCBC may provide a hybrid of on-campus and remote experiences.
  3. Certain circumstances may require CCBC to offer all services remotely.
Additional options may become available as we monitor developments. Regardless of changes in the learning environment for fall 2020 or other semesters, the tuition and fees will be the same. The tuition and fees you provide are in exchange for learning, academic credit, and certain non-academic services, whether they are provided on campus, in a hybrid environment, or entirely remotely.

Statement of Financial Responsibility

Students will be required to accept the terms of CCBC's Statement of Financial Responsibility upon registering for classes.  

Delinquent accounts

Delinquent accounts will be assessed a $50.00 non-refundable fee each term they are delinquent.  CCBC will refer balances of $250.00 or greater to ECSI Recovery Select each term for a 90-day period.  ECSI Recovery Select will attempt to collect the debt and will contact the student by telephone and postal mail using the address and phone number on file with CCBC.  Accounts that remain delinquent after the 90-day period are then referred to the Maryland State Central Collection Unit and an additional 17% collection fee is added to the student's account and the student's credit report could be negatively impacted.

First day book fee

Specific courses may display a First Day Book fee upon registration. This fee covers electronic course materials for a particular course and provides a cost savings of 30%-60% to the student. Students may opt-out beginning when the course is available in Brightspace through the 50% add/drop date for the course by logging into Brightspace and following the instructions provided. Veterans Benefits

In accordance with the Veterans Benefits and Transaction Act, Section 3679 of Title 38 amendment which takes effects on August 1, 2019:
CCBC does not charge a student whose charges are fully or partially covered by VA Chapter 31 or VA Chapter 33 a delinquent account fee or place any holds restricting access to registration, transcripts or any college services while payment from the Department of Veterans Affairs is pending. Eligible students must provide the required Veterans Administration (VA) documentation by the first day of class (including late start classes). Eligible students will be required to pay any amounts not covered by their Veteran's benefits such as books, and tuition and fees not funded by their benefits.

Prior Learning Assessment

Fees for credit by exam and portfolio are assessed tuition at 1/2 the Baltimore County rate.
