The CCBC Service-Learning Program is going virtual. We encourage any faculty and student participating in Service-Learning to do so in a virtual format. CCBC is not sponsoring any Days of Service this semester.

What is Service Learning?

"Service-learning incorporates community work into the curriculum, giving students real-world learning experiences that enhance their academic learning while providing a tangible benefit for the community." — Campus Compact

At CCBC, we see service-learning as a win-win situation where students meet community needs, and their experiences with the community organizations build student knowledge that relates to course curriculum.

Service learning encompasses three main components:
  1. Service
  2. Curricular connection
  3. Reflection
