Goldman Sachs Foundation launches paid internship program

Oct 09, 2021

In its 10th year of providing entrepreneurs with the resources needed to grow and create jobs, the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses program (10KSB) is partnering with CCBC to help students become successful community business owners.

The 10,000 Small Businesses Fellows program aims to create career pathways for students from community colleges and address the growing skills gap facing small businesses by facilitating hands-on internship opportunities. The program will be piloted in Baltimore in partnership with CCBC and the HBCU Morgan State University, along with sites in New York, Cleveland, and Dallas – creating more than 250 work opportunities for college students in their fields of interest and small businesses.

For participating CCBC students, 10KSB Fellows creates rich, connected communities among employers and employees, providing a sustained talent pipeline for the local economy. The program also builds social capital by connecting Fellows Internship students with local small businesses, national stakeholders like Goldman Sachs, and among each other.
