Introduction to Oceanography

Introduces the physical, chemical, biological, and geological aspects of the oceans and methods and techniques of oceanographic research. Students explore the dynamic processes shaping the earth, its atmosphere, and its oceans with respect to marine populations. For students needing a lab, ERSC 142 / GEOG 142 serves as the accompanying lab.NOTE: Course offered fall, spring, and may be offered during additional sessions. Same As: GEOG 141. Credit can be earned for one course only.
